Since Helena Mankowska discovered her passion for acting in 2015, she has gone from completely unknown to worldwide recognition. Her latest role as a face model for the character of Lady Dimitrescu in the Resident Evil Village video game (Capcom, 2021) has brought international acclaim and a massive number of new fans from all over the world.

She has also appeared in numerous short films, music videos and commercials, and had the privilege to appear as a stunt double for Mila Jovovich (The 5th Element, Resident Evil) in Jovovich’s latest movie, Paradise Hills.  Helena’s sultry stare and exotic looks often lands her the role of assassin, secret agent, femme fatale — or in the case of Resident Evil, a mysterious vampire — but in real life she’s known for being easy-going and quick to laugh.

Helena was born in Poland and began her modeling career in 2017. She later studied Meisner Technique through the Ivana Chubbuck Actors Workshop under the direction of Frank Feys, followed by two years of study with international casting director Lucy Lenox (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, Perfume) at Frank Stein Studio in Barcelona, Spain.

Always interested in trying new things, Helena jumped at the opportunity to learn to become a stuntwoman. Her training began at In Extremis Film Services, one of the leading stunts and special effects companies in Spain. Helena later continued her studies with the British Academy of Dramatic Combat’s Valentina Calandriello, Guillem Fernandez-Valls (stunt coordinator for Game of Thrones) and Renato Camargos (second director of Recam Stunt Academy).

In 2018, she moved to London to study intensively under renowned acting coaches Mel Churcher (Angelina Jolie, Mila Jovovich) and Clare Davidson (Pierce Brosnan, Dudley Moore and Orlando Bloom). Helena graduated from London’s Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in 2020, and currently resides in Barcelona where she continues to work on diverse projects.

She has spent most of her time since then making public appearances as Lady D, both in person at major comics conventions and exclusive events, as well as online thanks to digital autograph platforms such as Streamily. Helena’s connection to Lady Dimitrescu — the quintessential vampire mother in the gaming world — carried special significance for her personally, as it was around not long before the release of Resident Evil Village that Helena herself also became a mother.

In between signings and family life, she was also featured in a commercial for Moroccan beauty brand Cavaillès Maroc, photo sessions for Spanish sustainable clothing designers Nebula Lab and other brands (Stanhome, Torre Glories, more), and did stunt work in a car chase scene for a client of In Extremis Film Services. Helena has used her new-found fame to advocate for causes close to her heart, such as raising money for children in need of treatment for severe illness in her home country of Poland.

She believes that good acting comes from a combination of passion, hard work, and learning from the experiences that life throws at you along the way. Helena also loves to motivate others to develop and grow and is the creator of the motivational vlog “The Shies.” The project’s underlying philosophy that it’s never too late to conquer your fears and pursue your dreams.

She is fluent in English and Polish and speaks some Spanish. Special skills include stunts, stage fighting, basic martial arts, and swimming. Helena also works as a fashion and lingerie model and is represented by Principal Models in Spain, and Timeless Talent in the UK and other territories.
